Shashma Swraj Thanked Mr. Hareesh Salve on behalf of State for being charged only Rupee 1 for pursuing the case of Kalbhoshan Yadhev in International Court of Justice.
In July 2019, International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Pakistan to gave Counselor access to Kalbhoshan Yadhev, who have been sentenced to death penalty by Pakistan military court on terrorism charges.
However his bail application was rejected.
Court made remarks that Pakistan have violated the article 36 of Vienna Convention by denying counselor access to prisoner.
It should be noted that a Pakistani military court had sentenced Kulbhushan Jadhav to death in April 2017 on charges of espionage, sabotage and terrorism.
Recently, alleged Indian spy Kalbhushan Yadhev in custody refused to file a review of his sentence, saying he would instead pursue his mercy plea.
